What qualifications do you have? Highly skilled & highly educated? Do you qualify for an employment visa? See the Immigration Canada website for details on what is required. Do NOT start looking for a job in Canada until you are absolutly certain that you are fully qualified for an employment visa. If you meet or exceed every requirement, then you can start jobhunting. If you find a job, then your employer applies for the work visa, and you provide all the supporting documentation to prove you meet all visa requirements. Note that Canada's workforce needs are rather limited and their unemployment rate is about 9%. Plus for any job for which a company might search internationally instead of locally, you are in extreme competition from around the world. Lots of people want to move to Canada. Very, very few qualify, and only a tiny percentage of those who qualify for work visas will ever find work there. Competition is tough.

Accountants are currently not in demand in Canada. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-who-instructions.asp#list jobs currently in demand - acccountant is NOT on the list BUT if you have or can get 12 months experience in any of the jobs listed below - that may be enough to make you eligible to immigrate. http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2006/ViewAllTitlesQuickSearch.aspx?val=1&val1=1122&val65=* NOC 1122 - detailed list of eligible jobs http://www5.hrsdc.gc.ca/NOC/English/NOC/2006/ProfileQuickSearch.aspx?val=1&val1=1122&val65=* details of what is required to get a job under 1122 You MUST have a MINIMUM of 12 months full time experience before you can be approved to immigrate. Your experience in customer services will be of no help whatsoever - you wont get any points for that at all. So to start the process you really do need to find a full time job (on the list - see link above) and work for between 1 and 4 years before you can apply.

How does comission based labour laws work in Canada

How does comission based labour laws work in Canada?
My girlfriend is a hairstylist. The owner of the salon she worked at opened a new salon last week and brought my girlfriend to the new shop. She makes all of her money from commission. The issue is that the new salon that she is working at is getting about 1 client max a day right now so she is making less per hour than she would if she was making minimum wage. Are there any kind of laws in Canada that helps protect this? She is basically providing free help and labour to help the owners start there shop without the payoffs they will retain.

In Canada, a common law partner is someone with whom you have been cohabiting in a conjugal relationship for at least one year. Regarding working in Canada, you will need a work permit. The Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) website is pretty good at really spelling out the requirements - see this link: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/index.asp Best of luck.

There's no such thing as an unlocked sidekick. even if it is, ur lucky if the phone works. If you stayed with T-Mobile, there would be huge roaming rates. just find a nice phone like the sidekick out there. theres gotta be one...
