How does Student Welfare in Canada work? Can I apply if I get government student loans

How does Student Welfare in Canada work? Can I apply if I get government student loans?
I was just wondering how Student Welfare works... If I have a student loan from a province (like, Alberta) and I go to school and currently live in Ontario, would it possible for me to receive student welfare? And if so, for what province do I apply? And, how does it work? Thanks!

How does a Real Estate Holding Company in Canada work

How does a Real Estate Holding Company in Canada work?
This is the scenario. My father stands to inherit a large annuity. He lives in the US, the annuity will be set up in Canada. I live in Canada, and we want to keep the $$ here. Can I set up a company in Canada if he signs his annuity over to the company as a capital base? How do I go about it? Would a holding company or a corporation be better? We want to use the capital base annuity to borrow and buy residential homes, to rent. Any advice would be appreciated.

you should open a holding company as for every real estate project you should have separate LLC to ring fence each asset. You can have a look at www.biz2credit.com/casestudies

Its almost like school, you sit and your mother will teach you the basics/advanced studies of the required classes.

It really depends on how you plan to do it. Some people use preset curriculum's, do it through an online program or they make up the curriculum themselves. My mom always put together the curriculum on her own, to make it fit me and my academic needs. When I was younger she would write down what I needed to do in a journal and give me a brief overview of what I was going to do, what might be hard and any other details I might need. Then, she would go and work with my brothers while I worked on something from the list and every once in awhile she would check in with what I was doing and help me with anything difficult. Now that I am older and more capable of working without supervision, I have all my schoolbooks in my bedroom and I decide what I do and when I do it. I have a plan book where I write down what I do everyday and as I go, I keep track of the hours I spend on each subject. Sometimes, if my mom isn't really busy, she'll check in with me during the day, but a lot of times she just talks to me about what I did in the afternoon or evening. One thing about homeschooling is that is is A LOT of independent work. If you have never done it before, it will probably be a shock to you! Overall though, its a lot of fun. Its nice to be able to work at your own pace! I hope I helped and good luck!

How do duties in Canada work if I am returning an item I bought outside the country

How do duties in Canada work if I am returning an item I bought outside the country?
Hello all! I bought an item online from outside of the country and had duties charged when it crossed the border (expected.) Now, I'm returning the item to the company (didn't work out for me), but I don't suppose that the company itself would return me the duty fees. Is there someplace that I should go to that might get me my duty fees back? Thanks for any help!
