How does comission based labour laws work in Canada

How does comission based labour laws work in Canada?
My girlfriend is a hairstylist. The owner of the salon she worked at opened a new salon last week and brought my girlfriend to the new shop. She makes all of her money from commission. The issue is that the new salon that she is working at is getting about 1 client max a day right now so she is making less per hour than she would if she was making minimum wage. Are there any kind of laws in Canada that helps protect this? She is basically providing free help and labour to help the owners start there shop without the payoffs they will retain.

barbers and hair stylist get a different accomodation in pay scale they are like in the restaurant business ~~these employees depend on tips to make up the difference~tell your G?F to go to a place where she has more clients~~this is about norm for this type of work
