Pharmacist want to migrate and work in Canada?
Hi, I am an Egyptian and I am looking for people or a forum that will help me in the decision to go and work as a pharmacist in Canada. I want to know is there still demand for pharmacists in Canada, and what are obstacles that I might face. please if there is any forum talking about this subject or U know any information please tell me .

Yes . There is a demand for pharmacists,physiotherapists and nurses ( generally para medical staff) in Canada. The qualifications required are very stringent. You have to get in touch with a recruitment or a hospital staffing agency in Toronto/Vancouver. Similar agencies are there in USA too , who will find placement for you in Canada. You can locate recruitment agencies in Cairo (Egypt). Approach them.

There is a shortage of pharmacists in Canada. But it is very important that you make sure that your qualifications will be recognized by the licensing body in Canada. To find out about that you could try googling something like "Canadian Association of Pharmacists" and see if there is somewhere you could write and get more detailed information. Shoppers Drug Mart is a chain drug store that you might approach, or you could try one of the big hospitals like University Health Network in Toronto.
