I just got an xbox from a friend in new york, but i live in canada and go to france very often will the xbox work?

Um... That would be something to ask the support. But I think it should work. You just might have a little trouble connecting to live because of the international part. BUT yes it should work.

Yes, the Xbox is the same every where. As long as the Xbox is running on a online system supported by Microsoft, then it will work online. If you play offline, it will play anywhere.

Can I get through the border into Canada for work on a restricted license?
I got an offer to work in Canada for a US company for part of the week and work at home in MI for the rest of the week. I am on a restricted license until mid-September and only have a paper license. Can I get an Identification card from the Sec of State? Thanks in advance for the help.

You may need to ask this question in one of the US categories, since it is the US secretary of state that would issue an ID. However, if you contact the Canadian Border Services Agency (do a search for them online and you will find the site and contact information, including a phone number), and someone there should be able to tell you if your restricted license is ok. Then you will need to check with the US border services to make sure it is ok for re-entering the US.

The driver licence question is secondary. Do you have permission, on paper, from the Government of Canada, to WORK in Canada ? If not, stay in Michigan. I bet that US company is trying to SNEAK you into Canada with out getting the proper papers. Jim B. Toronto.

Can I find work in Canada without having to pay all the costs of becoming a citizen right away?
I'm just getting tired of living in America and I have always been interested in living in another country. I'm wondering if it is possible, as a US citizen, to find any type of work in Canada without needing to do all the paperwork and pay large amounts of money to go through the Canadian citizenship process first? I guess this question could apply to any country really, not just Canada. I would appreciate any help from anyone who knows about this.

You have to go through the process to become a landed immigrant to work here LEGALLY (been there am that). You could get a student or temporary work visa but you will have to look into what hoops you have to jump through to do that. I lived and worked for a number of years before becoming a citizen it isn't a requirement. To live and work in Canada all you need is perminenant resident status. BTW try trolling for something else.

You will not permitted to work here, without a work permit. You must apply for one, and have a job offer from a company in Canada, which must prove that they cannot find a Canadian to fill that position. So in a word, no.

Paperwork first, completed in your own country. You don't become a Canadian citizen at once, you are admitted, if accepted, as a Landed Immigrant or Permanent resident. You have to wait three years to apply to become a citizen.

Just as it is very difficult and expensive to immigrate to the US it is just as hard to emigrate to another country. The only way to easily move to Canada is if you have a college degree that is one allowed for a "TN Visa" As for avoiding paperwork, that would make you an illegal immigrant there. After all the trouble we give illegals here, do you really want to be one in another country.

How does an american citizen find work in canada?
I'm an American citizen and engaged to a Canadian girl, I'm looking for the quickest way to immigrate to Canada so we can be together. If we get married and she sponsors me, I'll still have to wait 3 months to become permanent resident, however, If I find work, It'll be even longer to get my work permit. Any help is greatly appreciated.

It will probably be more like six months after you marry but once you have your Permanent residence through the sponsorship, you can job hunt. You can research now, planning and preparing for job hunting.
