Like if I landed on role for tv series or major film in Canada, do I have to get permit work or something? I am under 18 and live in US. Thanks.

If you were to get hired for something like that the production company would have to work out your "landing" for you. Unlikely you'd even be allowed to read for the part unless you were already eligible to work in Canada.
